Standards and guidelines

With vistrax, your reception area is optimally equipped and complies with national and international standards for AEOs (Authorized Economic Operators), the requirements of the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), the IFS (Internation Featured Standards) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization):

General Data Protection Regulation

(Paragraph “Pseudonymization”)
The GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the deleting and pseudonymizing of personal data inside the EU and EEA areas.

ISO/IEC 27001

(Paragraph “Physical and Environmental Security”)
The last version of this standard was published in March 2017. In order to improve the security of information assets, the standard describes the handling of visitors and the recording of visiting hours.

European Commission Guidelines

(AEO, Section 2.V.3-4, A1a.6.3, A1b.6.1, A1b.6.2.5, A1b.6.3.1, A2.4.2, A2.4.7)
The AEO guidelines became applicable in March 2016. In this extensive document, the European Commission defines the exact handling of external personnel and the appropriate use of visitor badges.

Germany’s domestic intelligence service

(“Visitor management – Dealing with visitors and external personnel” 03/2016)
According to Germany’s domestic intelligence service, an effective visitor management is essential in order to protect a company’s knowhow and security. Registration of external personnel and the wearing of visitor badges are explicitly recommended.

FDA Guidelines

(Section IV, C.2)

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration demands strict procedures in “Guidance for Industry: Food Security Preventive Measures Guidance for Retail Food Stores and Food Service Establishments” when dealing with visitors. A critical factor is the identity verification of visitors, but also the check in progress at the front desk.

IFS Food V6.1

(Chapter 6.3.1)

In 2014, IFS version 6 was made compulsory in order to obtain the IFS certification. As protection against the manipulation of food, the handling of visitors is precisely defined in chapter 6.3.1.

TISAX Requirements

(Participant Handbook)

TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) created by the ENX Association, an association of European automobile manufacturers, suppliers and associations as a testing and exchange procedure. The prevention of unauthorized access and access to sensitive information is a central requirement of TISAX.

ISO 45001

ISO 45001 is the first international standard for occupational health and safety management systems and takes the place of the British standard OHSAS 18001. It replaces the term “documents and records” with “documented information”. This also includes electronical information that is not contained in a formal document system.
